Acceptable Use Policy

1. Purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy applies to everyone who uses Ricord. It is part of our Terms of Service. Ricord handles recordings and documents that can be personal and sensitive, so these rules exist to protect the people in them, other users, and the Service.

2. Recording and consent

You are responsible for obtaining consent from everyone you record where the law requires it. Many places require the agreement of all participants, and some apply special rules to calls that cross borders, to workplaces, or to certain professions.

Do not record or upload a conversation that you know was captured unlawfully.
Do not secretly record people in situations where they reasonably expect privacy.
Tell participants that they are being recorded and how the recording will be used.
Honor requests from participants to stop recording or delete their part of it.

3. Content you may not upload

Content that is illegal, or that you do not have the right to use or share, including material that infringes intellectual property or breaches a confidentiality obligation.
Child sexual abuse material or any sexual content involving minors.
Content that is threatening, harassing, hateful or that promotes violence or self-harm.
Content used to defraud, impersonate or deceive people, including voice cloning or deepfakes of people without their consent.
Malware, or files designed to damage or gain unauthorized access to systems.
Sensitive data you are not permitted to process with a third-party service, such as regulated health or payment card data, unless you have the agreements required by law.

4. Prohibited conduct

Attempting to access another account, or data that does not belong to you.
Probing, scanning or testing the vulnerability of the Service without our written permission. To report a vulnerability responsibly, see our Security page.
Interfering with or overloading the Service, including automated or bulk uploads intended to circumvent plan limits.
Scraping, reverse engineering or copying the Service, except where the law permits.
Sharing your account or reselling the Service without our written agreement.
Using Ricord outputs to train a competing AI model.
Using the Service for any purpose that is unlawful, including breaching export, sanctions or privacy laws.

5. Responsible use of AI outputs

Transcripts, summaries and action items are generated by AI and can be wrong. Do not use them to make automated decisions that significantly affect people’s legal rights, employment, credit, housing, health or safety without human review, and do not present them as verbatim records of what someone said unless you have checked them against the source.

6. Enforcement

If we believe you have violated this policy, we may remove content, limit features, suspend or terminate your account, and report unlawful activity to authorities, with or without notice depending on the severity. We do not routinely review your content, but we may look at specific content when investigating a report, a security issue or a legal obligation.

7. Reporting abuse

If you believe Ricord is being misused, or that your voice or personal information was recorded or uploaded without your consent, email abuse@ricord.ai with as much detail as you can. For security vulnerabilities, email security@ricord.ai. For anything else, legal@ricord.ai.
